My camera history goes a little like this:
I used a couple of MF SLR's and then I got a canonet.
I liked the lens but didnt like the plasticky feel so I traded it and got a zorki 4 with j8 and j12(and thenb a project yashica 14e) that was much better - but the framing sucked so I sold it and got a canon 7+35/2.8 which is a lovely combo but something was amiss.

Then I stumbled upon a crazy deal on an M3 with goggled summaron and It's perfect!!!

Anyone wants to buy my canon?

IF I only had the coin as I miss the 7 I had & sold... OTOH, it's a good thing to hear that you've found something that fits your needs & desires. Go burn lots of film 😉

Hah i have to agree.. the framing sucks with the Zorki 4. Haha. I've been using one for the past three months religiously... oh how i would like a nicer VF w/ framelines that are actually somewhat accurate. haha.

In my opinion, an M3 with a goggled Summaron is as good as 35mm rangefinder photography ever gets. Have fun!

I still use a nikon fm2n\mamiya m645j for portraits and autocord TLR for MF street\portraits but the leica blows the lid off everything rf(I compared it to a friend M6 - i like the m3's huge vf\rf patch more).

I think my travel outfit will be the leica and autocord with a nikon fm2n+50/1.4 in the hotel for backup.

My fears with the goggled lens are these:
1)I am afraid of haze\dust building up in the googles - they are after a Sherry Krauter CLA but I dont know how well they are sealed off.

2) How "rainproof" is this setup?
