The one you find better!
Seriously, there is no way to tell what is absolutely better, because performance can vary in several examples of the same lens. Quality control was not a priority in soviet factories, there are bad J8 and good J3, as well good J8 and bad J3.
Said that, J3 has a great advantage: collimation can be adjusted turning a block ring inside the barrel. J8 has no such kind of setup and it needs to use reshimming to collimate perfectly.
If you are prone to dismount the lens, probably you want a J3
