Jammed focus ring?

The focus ring on the Electro 35 GX I recently bought won't turn all the way to infinity. It turns smoothly from the closest setting, all the way to about 15ft and then just stops. It won't budge any further. What could be wrong with it?

????????????? Could have been dropped on its lens and out of alignment. My gsn offers bit of resistance beyond a certain point but hasn't affected focus...it's tack sharp. I am thinking about sending it to Hama for a clean and adjustment anyway. You might want to consider Mark Hama yourself.
