Just received my Jupiter 11 f4 135 mm lens and notice that the f stop red mark, the one that tell what stop the lens is set to is on the left side of the lens , the distance scale is right on top were it should be when the lens is mounted to the camera.
Is this normal or if not how do you turn the lens to move the mark without disturbing the distance scale.

That makes sense grayhoundman that they should both be on top, will be running a roll throught her this weekend and check her out.
The glass is very clean with no fog or marks .
Should not effect anything except requiring me to look to the side for the f stops.

Sure sounds like you lens' helicoid ring has been re-assembled in the wrong starting position....but this is not rocket science and you can strip, grease and replace all the parts to make the lens work properly again.
Google to "Matt Denton" and check out his "Industar 26 & 61 Relubing" instructions; they apply also to the Jupiter 8 (which I have and have re-assembled without difficulty from his info) and should also work with your Jupiter 11.
What I found was if you do a re-lube, it makes sense to re-assemble and test the lens's focus on your camera before tightening the set screws, and if this sounds like a backwards way to go about it....consider the alternative.

That's if you can unscrew the set screws ...

Be careful with the set screws, I'm still trying to "unscrew" mine on a couple of Industars.

Good luck ... & thanks for all the suggestions from the forum members.
