Hi friends Do you know , if its possible to transplant the back optics group of a jupiter 12 for contax in to a leica screw one?

thank a lot

It is never recommended to make one lens from two for optics.
Any optics, any lenses.
J-12 is 80 bucks in LTM.

It likely is possible. But, more or less as Ko.Fe. points out, a conversion would likely cost more than just getting a LTM J-12.

I think he does not want to convert the lens probably has a damaged kens in ltm and a good one in contax mount. It is possible but maybrequire some fine tuning. I wouldn‘t recommend it.

If you're just wanting to transplant the rear optical block from the Contact to the LTM lens, it's absolutely possible. You'll want to ensure that the J12 lenses are both from relatively similar build periods. For example, I wouldn't want to do this transplant from an early 80s lens to a 1950s lens but even then it can definitely be done. Considering the QC that went into most of the FSU gear, you may wind up with a better optic than the original.
