Jupiter 3, how bad can this be?

Be a good lens to buy for parts if you had one with a hosed rear element. Brian Sweeney could probably make a great one from it, for example.

works very well
BUT I am over the Top getting the Industar 61 /55 2.8......
Is awesome and at present my Favorite lens !!

I have at present for my rd1s: Elmar 50/3.5 , Elmar 90/ 4., Industar61,/ 55 2.8, J3 50/1.5 & This Monday via post J12 35/ 2.8

I am debating getting another Jupiter 85 /2. comparing it to my Elmar & then getting rid of one of them.......decisions,decisions
Also debating the Super Angulon 21 /4. but I'm nervous re: the mounting on & off and shutter :bang:
I would be quite Content with the SA21 & the Industar61

Yours is the common screw mount used with an M adapter for the RD1. He is looking at a Kiev mount. Not so common.

I own both the J9 and Elmar ... I am keeping both. They draw very differently, the Elmar having more pleasing colors. Yet the J9 is two stops faster ... too bad it is so heavy. I need to find a hood for it, it flares way too much as soon as a source of light it close.

You are right. It is not a rare lens. The glass is not good here.
