Jupiter 8 on Bessa R

I got one, haven't used it yet, but I have no idea how it couples up with the Bessa R's little cam at the top of the lens mount. However, it seems to work, because when I rotate the focusing ring on the lens the rf patch moves as it should.

My 35/2.5 Color Skopar has a wide notch in the chrome ring inside the thread mount, and I assume that's what catches the cam. The J8 does not have this.

I am no techie, so maybe you folks could explain this to me.

The J8 works fine on the Bessa R. I have two of them (chrome and black) for mine.

The Jupiter 8 works very well on the Bessa R. there are several photos with that combination in my gallery. Nothing needs to catch the cam. The lens' focusing ring pushes it back and forth, which controls the rangefinder patch.

Thanks, Bill:

The Marina 1 and 2 photographs are outstanding examples of what the J8 can do. I'll start using it tomorrow. (They're also very fine photos regardless of what lens was used).
