I just got a canon L-1, what lenses are recommended? Furthermore, which lenses made by canon or otherwise (excluding Ms) don't fit?

I love my L1, a very nice camera.

The 50/1.5 and chrome 35/2.8 look great on it and are age appropriate. A chrome 50/1.8 was also standard for this camera.

Rover beat me to the post. I think that the 50/1.5 and the 35/2.8 would be great choices. The chrome 50/1.8 would also be a good fit. The black lenses in various focal length are nice too, although I think chrome looks better on the L1. Plus, the 50/1.8 in chrome or black are a steal at $150 or less.

Any good lenses in the 90mm range as well? Also are there any good collapsible lenses worth trying?

85/1.9 or 85/2.0

of course there is the 100/3.5.

The variable magnifications of the L1 finder relate to the 35mm, 50mm and roughly 135mm focal lengths. Canon made a nice 135/3.5.

There are slower lenses too, 100/4 and 135/4 I believe.

I'm thinking of this lens on ebay (item number 260136340364) however my only concern is that it looks like it has a bayonet mount. Can anyone tell me about this lens. Same with this lens: Item number 260138175076.

the first one is a pass. Nice lens, but with haze and fungus not worth taking a shot with it. It has an LTM to M adaptor on it.

I think Joe had the 35/3.5. I don't remember reading too much about it.
