Hi,
JUST BOUGHT AND RECEIVED TODAY CANONET QL 17 FROM EBAY. NEED SOME ADVICE ABOUT THE CAMERA.
hOW DO YOU TURN CAMERA OFF. IT CAME WITHA BATTERY IN IT AND VIEWFINDER WAS LIT WHE I LOOKED THROUGH IT. DO I JUST KEEP THE CAMERA IN ITS CASE, WHICH CAME WITH IT, OR JUST KEEP A LENS CAP , WHICH DID NOT COME WITH IT, ON IT WHEN NOT IN USE SO AS NOT TO RUN DOWN THE BATTERY?
WHERE IS AA GOOD PLACE TO GET BATTERIES FOR IT?
aNY IDEA WHERE I CAN GET AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR THE CAMERA ON LINE?
cAN I USEA VIVITAR 283 FLASH WITH THIS CAMERA ? WILL IT RECEYCLE TOO SLOWLY WITH THIS TYPE OF FLASH? OR IS CANOLITE D FLASH THE BEST FLASH TO USE WITH IT? WHAT IS MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FEET THE cANOLITE CAN LUMINATE?
aNY TIPS ON HOW TO FOCUS WITH THIS CAMERA WHEN USING MANUAL MODE? WILL BE USING IT PRIMARILY FOR SHOOTING B&W BUT WILL PROBABLY SHOOT SOME COLOR PRINTS. iS CAMERA GOOD FOR SHOOTING COLOR SLIDES?
APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE YOU CAN OFFER. THANKS.

How do your turn camera off. It came with a battery in it and the viewfinder was lit when I looked through it. Do I just keep the camera in its case, which did come with it, or just keep a lens cap, which did not come with it, on it to keep it turned off?
Where is good place to get batteries for it?
Any idea where I might get an instruction manual for this camera?
Can I use a Vivitar 283 flash with this camera in case I want to take picture in very low light? Will it recycle too slowly with this typ0e of flash? Or is the Canolite D just the best flash to use with it?
Any other tips on how to focus with this camera that you can add? Am very new to rangefinders. Will be using it primarily for shooting B&W but will probably also shoot color prints sometimes. Is the camera good for shooting color slides?
Appreciate any advice or helpful hints about the Canonet from you, the experts. Thanks for any info you care to share.
