Although I think that maybe I am to blame...

The thing is this, I bought the Voigtlander 15mm f/4.5 L-mount lens, and it is attached to the camera with a L to M mount ring. For some reason, when I try to focus, I don't see the image moving in the little focus square in the viewfinder. I don't know why this is happening, maybe someone can help me and explain what am I doing wrong?

CV 15 Heliar is not RF coupled - you have to guess distance and pre-set lens to it. Try RF coupled lens, like CV 35 Skopar and it'll work

Hi - The 15mm CV is not coupled to the rangefinder. You focus by scale (guess) with this lens. The depth of field is very large, so this is not a problem. Regards ---john.

O.K thanks all for the fast reply. It's OK, I usually snapshot wothout focusing with a viewfinder, just wanted to make sure that everything is O.K with the equipment and that I mounted it properly.
Thanks guys for the help. I promiss to upload photos soon.

Please do! That's a favorite lens around here.

There is a brand new CV 15mm lens that is rf coupled, if anyone cares. The depth of field is so great with this lens that I'm not sure it matters.

They made multiple dof markings work on the tri-elmar, but it is confusing at first. Coupling is probably the best idea for digital RFs.

what would be more useful is putting dof markings on it for the R-D1 and M8, in addition to film Ms.

My understanding is that DOF doesn't change for the Rd1 and M8 sensors. They are still the same distance from the lens. The only difference is that the sensor doesn't cover the entire image circle. The picture is the same except it's cropped
