Hi,

It's about time my two Kiev's went for a service and wanted to know if anyone knew of a good place to send them?

I've been told about a guy in Russia called Oleg Khalyavin, but don't know if he is still working. If he is can anyone give me details?

I am in the UK, so if anyone knows where to send them it would be welcome.

Thanks for taking a look and I hope someone gets back to me soon.

Cheers,

R

Google is your friend,OKvintagecameras............

They are both 35mm Kiev 4's.

Mainly it is the shutter and shutter speeds that now need dealing with.

I use them for a lot of my work, so it is about time they had a little loving care.

Hi
Oleg is still working and he is the right man for the job. He has repaired and/or CLAed several of my cameras, and I strongly recommend him.
Send him an e-mail describing as precisely as possible what you want; he will answer back and will send you a jpeg file with his address in cyrillic. When the cameras arrive, he will confirm the price - he accepts payments through PayPal. Postage may be expensive, it will be cheaper if you send two cameras in the same parcel. I had one camera that broke again soon after he had repaired it, he fixed it again for free
Regards
Joao
PS: If you have some reliable contact in Kiev, the Arsenal factory can do repairs in some camera models. But the cameras must be delivered and picked up in person, no mail orders. They have replaced my faulty Kiev 35-A and repaired my problematic Kiev-10 SLR.
