Kodak HIE IR film

I was under the impression that Kodak HIE had been discontinued but recently found a site advertising it as 'back by popular demand' and bought ten rolls which arrived today. These are all dated 2-2009. Does anyone know what the situation is: is this just remainder stock or are Kodak making HIE again?

Where did you get it? I just got 16 rolls also from Porter's but I heard they were discontinued.

There's a retired Kodak engineer on APUG (who lives in Rochester and still has contracts inside Kodak) who recently said that Kodak still has some fresh, new HIE in stock at one of their warehouses (from the last batch they made). I suspect this is where this 2009 HIE came from.

Just looked at the site again and they're now saying that it's the 'final ever stock' so I guess that answers my question.
