Last week, KKR invested $400 million to bolster Kodak's cash position. Kodak's need for $$$ reflects Kodak's lack of success in the digital realm and the decline of film. The paradox is that its film business, even in decline generates pretty good cash flow. It turns out that one of the principals of KKR, Henry Kravis, is an art collector of some repute, with an interest in photography. We don't want Kodak to go away, do we?
Shoot some film, and buy some on Oct. 1--world-wide 'Buy Film Day'.
