I used my last free sample roll recently. This is Portra 160NC (I think, could be VC, I'll check the negatives) exposed at 80. I think that was a mistake. I'll use the box speed on the next roll and decide where to set the meter.
Canon EF | Canon 50mm 1:1.4 S.S.C. | Kodak New Portra 160NC or VC
EDIT: I'm back with the pictures.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah, there is no need to down-rate this film; 160 seems to do fine. I recently shot some of the old stuff. The high res TIFFs looked awfully grainy at 100% on the monitor, but when downsized, look fine. But I could see from the old emulsion why a new emulsion with better scanning characteristics was a good idea.
My shots of the old stuff (plus one XP-2 shot) are here, family birthday stuff.

I have always felt that my Canon EF meter was off +1 stop. Until recently, I always set the meter +1 stop over. I'm rethinking that now.

I used my first roll recently, I used the box speed. It was 120 and looks, the scans were fine.
