Kodak Retina II, Pre-war version (1937) how to adjust the rangefinder?

Unfortunately the rangefinder of my lovely pre-war Kodak Retina II is way off. Could somebody help me on how to remove the top and adjust the rangefinder? I have found information of later versions of the Retina II, but they look different with less screws on the top and a different frame counter.
I guess I could use it with scale focusing, but the distance scale on the lens barrel is hard for me to read.
Any help will be appreciated.
 
Rick has saved the day again! I cannot be any happier now with my Retina II focusing accurately as it should. It has been a real pain fiddling with the rotating bit of the rangefinder, but it was worth it and I would not had been able to do this without this
 
Is there an adjustment for vertical alignment on the rangefinder? Mine looks just like Rick Oelson's drawing in the link above.
