Kodak Ultramax 800 discontinued?

Hey, all...

I've seen Ultramax 800 disappear from store shelves around me, and when I tried to get it from B&H and Adorama they don't even list it anymore. has my favorite cheap high-speed color film been discontinued?

If so, it wasn't for lack of my buying any, that's for sure.

Portra 800 has not been officially discontinued so far - but YMMV, seeing that Kodak have published no new tech note on it, while they published separate tech notes for Portra 160 and 400 after discontinuing VC/NC and obsoleting the joint Portra tech note.

Amateur 800 ISO film seems to be a US local product that has only been packaged in disposable cameras this side of the pond for something like a decade - which puts it rather high up on on the list of things to cancel whenever they feel like shrinking their portfolio, I fear...

Ultramax 800 is one of he few films still available in most drug stores here I live. How old the tock is... can't tell ya.
