KONICA AUTO S2 - any info please?

I have been made an offer of a Konica Auto S2.
Can anyone please give me a pro / con report on the camera eg lens performance, quirks etc? How would it rate against my GSN?

It'a great camera and as good as the GSN--I can't see any difference.

I sold mine. A good lens but I liked the feel and look of the GSN much better.

Don't mean to sound rude, but do a quick search on this site and you'll find lots of discussion of this camera (I know I've commented on it myself a few times). I have one and really like it. Great lens, easy to use, a bit big but not bad. After doing a search and reading a bit more about it feel free to post any questions you may have.

Nice sharp lens, bright and contrasty viewfinder. A little on the large size for my taste. A capable camera.

Super Lens, good meter which doesn't only work in aut😵n the downside, it doesn't feel quite as sturdy as some of the others. The size is a matter of choice. If you want a "pocket" camera, the S2 is not for you.

The S2 has two important features that haven't been discussed.

1. It will work at all shutter speeds without batteries. The battery is for the meter only and it requires a PX-13 mercury cell.

2. It was originally sold with a built in sliding lens hood. Some of the models out for sale have had this removed.
