I have a couple more shots to come, but here is a shot made with the "lowly" Konica C35. Film is Eckerd, which is private-label Fuji. Mini-lab scanned to high res TIFF, downsized and some minor desaturation of colours, but no sharpening applied.

I find this a great little camera. It's so light that you sort of wonder about its ruggedness, but it's quite strong for its weight. I also have the auto-up adapter. When I get the post-processing done on those shots, I'll post.

Anyone else have this camera? Post your shots!

Funny, but I've rarely had problems with really light cameras such as the C35 and XA. Well, maybe some of the shots lack sharpness due to shake and I just thought it was mis-focus; I'll have to watch for that.

But that said, as you indicate, it's capable of great results.

I gave mine to my wife, she makes fantastic photos with it. And it's all auto too, that suits her very well !
Yes the quality of that small lens is awesome !

I have one, a C35 Automatic. Great little camera. I wish it had more manual controls, but a fun camera nevertheless. I've yet to run any color film through mine, but I have some black and white shots from the camera in my gallery and I love the lens contrast and sharpness. Which reminds me, I need to put a new battery in mine.

Here are thre shots, the first one "naked", second with the auto-up, full frame (not to be confused with full frame digital ;) ), the third a crop of the second. All at closest focus. I think I missed the focus on the first one, but on the auto-up shots I think I nailed it. Composition with the auto up is iffy, but it seemed to work OK on this one.

Mine is the C35 Automatic as well. Manual exposure would be nice, but hey, it wasn't made for that market.

Wow, very nice shot. I got the c35 automatic as well, but I'm still fiddling around with the focus, RF was misaligned when I got it and even after I thought I realigned it, shots were still out of focus. Meter's off too...

Trius - I have rarely used mine but your shot is definite encouragement for this weekend's photos. Very nice.

Kat: That's too bad your sample is bunged. As far as the meter goes, are you sure of your battery? Other than that, I've heard the C35 can suffer from problems with wiring. Opening up the bottom plate might be helpful.

Zuikologist: Go for it! It's a fun little machine.

BTW, the last shots I posted were made in the parking lot at George Eastman House, after I had attended a presentation by Magnum photographer Larry Towell. I wrote a bit about the program in my blog.

Yeah, I suspect the wiring, because no matter how bright the meter needle does not go past f/8. I might have someone look at it, see if it can still be fixed. Regardless, I'm amazed to see what it's capable of.
