Just bought a Konica Hexanon M lens from an ebay seller in almost like new condition, to use it with modern non Leica digital. Sony and Fuji but mostly with Sony.
I am abosolutely surprised to see the photo result and now I suspect that wether there was some kind of agenda (by regular reviewers) to make sure that Hexanon M lenses remain in dark.

Hi Lord Lucan,

Not sure about your conspiracy theory but I've used two Hexar RFs and the 28, 35, 50 and 90 Hexanons for the past 15 years and find them all to be of very high quality.

I think you've made a good choice.

Enjoy,

Lou

Soon after the introduction of the M-Hexanon lenses, some users reported out-of-focus images on Leica branded cameras, apparently from a slight difference in flange to film distances between Konicas and Leicas. This had the result of cooling off purchases of Hex lenses by many potential buyers.

Others users reported no problems.

Shortly thereafter, Konica was purchased by Minolta, and then Konica-Minolta was absorbed by Sony, so the lenses were not made for very long.

I use the 35mm f2 and the 50mm f2, both are excellent and work fine for me. I think they also made a dual FL 21-35mm, a 28, 50 f1.2, 50 f2.4 collapsible, 60 f1.2 and 90mm. Maybe others?

Wish that conspiracy had lasted longer! The M-Hexanon's price has doubled during the past 5-6 years as more people discovered the lens's merit.

I've had one of those Hexanons and my only criticism would be it's a bit clinical. But incredible build quality and almost total resistance to flaring.

I agree I might have exagerated a bit, I think Larry H-Lis right about flange distance, which may not be a problem with modern digital cameras.
@Archlich, member Dantestela wrote an article of appraisal on Hexanon 21-35 DUAL FL lens. He is making me thirsty about that lens but it is expensive.
@ReeRay dont you be saying good things about 90mm lens,I havent got that much.:)
@Keith I have been browsing hexanon tagged in flickrs

Thank you all for your input which makes interesting reading.
