I have a small problem with my fabulous S2. After taking a picture, the leaves won't shut. After advancing the film, two of the leaves on one side are left open, thus letting light in and ruining the film. Everything else is working fine.

Does anybody have a cure for this? I've googled around for a solution, without completely finiding it. If you do know, please explain it to me like I'm ten years old. I'm new to camera repairing.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
It is always difficult to diagnose a problem from a short description but I best bet would be dirty iris leaves. The usual cure for this is to remove the front element and gently clean them with Ronsonol lighter fluid. This is probably the easiest fix to try first. If that doesn't work, you wouls have to look elsewhere. I seem to remember a link to S2 repairs but can't find it at the moment. I will try to find it but one of the others may be able to point it out sooner.

Regards
Kim
