Stupid question possibly, but is there any difference between the two? I want to shoot a roll of Fomapan 100 as a test but my local store has none in and I'm not buying in a roll, but I found some Kosmo Foto in my box of films and had heard it was the same, not the same.

I thought so, but wanted the no-bull**** answer!

Well, do you know how exactly Kosmo is repackaged? I don't know if he just in mama's basement and tossing original films into boxes with new labels on film or it is done in more controlled environment on actual manufacturer site.
If it is in mama's basement scenario here is greater chance he will toss Kentmere instead of Foma on Fridays. 🙂

I like Fomapan 100 Classic. Its a "go to" film for me lately.

Is this Kosmo stuff cheaper? Where can it be found?

Certainly not the same as Astrum. I had/have some of that too and it is definitely not the same as Fomapan...

No, it is no stupid question at all.
The Kosmo Foto film is indeed just regular Fomapan 100 repackaged/relabelled at a much higher price (almost all repackaged films are more expensive compared to the original films).
When this Kosmo Foto repackaging hit the market, first customers just peeled apart the etikette from the film canisters, and beneath a regular Fomapan 100 cassette/canister appeared.
Also the recommended developing times for Fomapan 100 and Kosmo are identical.

Cheers, Jan

Arista EDU film is another private label Foma film. It is labeled that it is made in the Czech Republic. It is often a bit cheaper than Foma branded films.
