Hi all!

will this lens collapse into an M8 without problems?

BTW - I'm looking for the original shade and lenshood (or well made solid other brand) and maybe for the necessary UV/IR-filter in 40,5;
offers welcome!

regards, cron

bump bump.

I've just relisted my L-Hex 50/2.4 lens on eBay UK (sale fell through, grmpf) and would like to provide potential buyers certainty on the issue.

Like the OP, I'd like to know!

johan, you also use a hex 90mm, right? i think i read that in some thread. i have pondered the 90mm, but haven't pulled the trigger on a 90 yet.

It collapses a few mm deeper than a collapsible cron, but less than many other collapsible lenses. I had no trouble storing mine in collapsed mode, but would never want to shoot my M8 with any lens collapsed. It's not recommended by Leica, and the shutter was probably not designed with airflow considerations of having something so close, even if it doesn't touch.

So if you want to play it safe, and you have a tendency to forget to pull your lens out before shooting, I would keep it extended.

I'll point the new owner of my 50/2.4 L-Hex to this thread. That was the last of the Konica's I ever sold, I'm not gonna buy any more and the last one I will never sell.

My Konica L-Hex 35/2.0 now officially is my youngest RF lens, all others pre-date 1952 :eek:
