Hi... "Manage Attachments" in Go Advanced allows me to
post an illustrative Thumbnail. I notice that some guys post
larger illustrative images with their posts. I have some
instructions for this which look complex, once I have Resized.
Can someone tell me a-b-c... what to do?

You need your photo to be somewhere else already on the internet.
Then you link to it, not upload it to RFF.
Then you link to it, not upload it to RFF.

Mike, are you talking about inserting the image or a thumbnail link that is bigger than the little thumbnail for attachments. I've been trying to figure out how to do the latter and a couple times I've gone back to this post (involving Flickr in this case)...

to try and figure it out. The OP there tells how to do it, but I can't get it going. I think it is an issue of exactly what I'm supposed to link to in Flickr...am I linking to the Flickr thumbnail, or the actual image, or...? Those big thumbnails just look so cool!
