Hi,

I found a roll of Neopan 400 yesterday. It is my last roll. I need help choosing which camera to use to shoot the roll.

Options:

1. Rollei 35 f3.5 with a Xenar
2. Konica Auto S3

This is a stupid poll, but I am interested to know what others think!

The Rollei it it were me.
Small, not light but great lens.
I know it's not a Tessar.
Less contrast,that's good.
The camera being smaller, easier to use over a longer period.
The Konica of course has a RF.
There! Now I am stuck to..
I voted Rollei.

I would use the S3. I bought one in the mid 1970s and had it for many years till it eventually fell to bits. One of the nicest compact rangefinders I've used, while personally I think the Rollei is ^%)"@!

I cant believe poeple would vote against an S3...

maybe people dont have experience with how good those konica fixed lens rfs lenses were.

It seems the majority wants you to guesstimate the distance to your photo motive and doesn't have a problem with missed focus. The lens on the Konica is sharper as well so use the Konica, the Rollei might be sexier but certainly not better

It seems to me less important which camera you use than what content you elect to shoot, where you can use the special properties of the film to enhance the image. After all, were you saving the film for the camera or the images?
