Hello,
Next week I will be in a trip in Latvia & Lithuania. Does anybody know if there is any bookstore with a good variety of photo books in Riga or Vilnius and also if there is any second hand bookstore where you can find photo books?
Anything else considerable regarding photography like exhibitions, galleries or places and special festivities to photograph?
Thanx in advance!

Hi, do you mean coffee table books with pictures of this countries? In book stores there are sections with this kind of books. If you are interested in addresses, let me know, I can tell for Riga - they all are concentrated in central part of town, can walk around in an hour or so, add another hour to spend in stores.

No, I mean monographs, portfolios from photographers, like the Lithuanians Antanas Sutkus and Rimaldas Viksraitis and others. If you know any bookstore with a nice collection of monographs or any second hand bookstore I would appreciate to tell me the names and its addresses.

In Riga, Istaba on Kr. Barona 31 might also be worth a visit. Gallery/shop/restaurant/café. When I was there last year they had a decent collection of photo magazines and such. I picked up a stack of issues of the excellent Foto Kvartāls. Most of all, try dinner in the tiny but GREAT restaurant upstairs. Best food I had in Riga.
