Hi all,
I have a RD1, nr 001925, bought in NYC (spring 2006). Always liked it, used it less because of the even better pictures from the M8. Suddenly the LCD stopped working. I still can make pictures. Somewhere on this forum I read about going back to an older firmware version (I have the latest). But that won't be possible without a working LCD. Anyway, I loaded the new version when it arrived and it worked since then until now.
Anybody else with this problem? Do I have to find a hardware solution?
Help appreciated,
Henk

I suggest trying to contact epson indiana service facility, or maybe talk to DAG camera or something.... I really hope it works out for you - I haven an r-d1 coming second hand in 2 days and I'd hate for something to go wrong with it and be unfixable
Good luck!

Thanks for the reaction. I forgot to mention that I live in Amsterdam, so I have to look here for someone. I hoped someone else had the problem and a nice solution to it.

The nearest center in Europe is in France. Rich Cutler has some good hints on how to contact them here: http://www.richcutler.co.uk/r-d1/r-d1_14.htm.

I don't think you need to worry - this has only happened a couple of times that I know of in 2 years.fdigital said:I suggest trying to contact epson indiana service facility, or maybe talk to DAG camera or something....
