It's been a while since I have posted but I thought this would be the best place to ask. I got my dad a GSN for christmas last year. He loved it. Just like the one he used to have in the army.... Anyway, he has been looking for a leather case for it. Is there any place to buy new ones? Will one for another camera work on the GSN?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't think you will find a new one anywhere, as the camera was discontinued may years ago. Worth asking here to see if anyone has an unwanted one. I may have one in the back of the cupboard - I'll have a look and get back to you.

You might check with Mark Hama in Atlanta. He's a former Yashica technician and obtained a 14e case for me. His contact information is here. Good luck, I have two GSN's both with cases. He sometimes is slow to respond by email. Give him a call, he is much more responsive that way. Call him between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Good luck!

I have one of the older clamshell cases. I'd give it to you for $12, shipping included.
Just shoot me a PM.

I have read that the leather case for a Canon SLR, such as the AE-1 will fit an Electro 35, although I don't know for certain. I either read it here, or elsewhere on the web. If so, perhaps you could find a generic type of case, the won't say "Canon" on the front.

This is in fact true. I just grabbed an slr case for Canon and stuck my Electro 35 in it to see if it fit and it does!! Much better case than the Yashica case that came with the Electro.
