Hello,
I'm in the process of replacing the shutter of a Leica lllc.
I have disassembled the camera as far as Ican, but need to remove the light baffle to the right ( as you look at the front of the camera). Could anyone tell me how to do this please? Thanks.

If I remember correctly, it is held by the screws and block that is the back stop of the RF-arm in the roof of the body. I can't remember if there is another screw, but I think once it is loose, you need to wiggle it a bit to get it out.

The slow speed gear train will have to come out first. Notice the 2 screws are different lengths. Be sure to put them back in the same location. Next a small screw holds the lower part of the baffle. Remove the rf arm and rangefinder the 2 screws below where the accy shoe is located. The baffle will then come out but do not bend it..

I would strongly advise you get this manual...

Thanks Colyn, I've ordered a copy of that ( same seller who I bought shutter curtain material and new r/f mirror from- very helpful chap !)
Cheers 🙂

Yet another link from the Oleson site...
I found this pdf really useful, even if I didn't follow this method. It has very a clear description of how to align the curtains and set the tension.
