Leica 13352 Polarizer

Sorry Stu, can't help on that, but also considering polarizer usage on my upcoming M6 apparently I tend to prefer FilterView solution. I've heard good things about Leica one, but FilterView just appears to be probably more convenient and robust allowing to utilize same filter for all my systems (LF 4x5 and the RF soon).

Just tried, Stu, on 90 Elmarit and 35 Summicron, one with B+W filter, one with Leitz filter. Had to take the UV filters off of both lenses. The filter diameters are a bit smaller than the lens, too small for the polarizer. On 35mm I also wouldn't know about vignetting.

Roland.

Can I slip it on a lens that already has a filter mounted on it?

Not usually.

Cool thing about the Leica polarzier is that it's a clamp on fit, so there's a bit of leeway in what lenses it will work with. It works with all the 39mm filter Leica lenses I have/had, plus the Canon lenses that take 40mm filters, and if you remove the sunshade (it unscrews) you can use the polarizer on a VC 21, too! Pretty cool for a 50 year old gizmo. 😀

This filter is designed to work mounted on the lens without another filter since they are a bit smaller in diameter.
