What is special about the Dig 3 , for me is that with adapters , I can use virtually any SLR lense ever made -
My black I 50 from a Zenit 3 [ 39/42 adapter to 42 / 4/3rds adapter ! ] looks just right , in a dee-rangedfinder kind of way . It also becomes the tiniest 100mm tele ever !
All my Rokkors perform splendidly , if a little sluggishly [ slow focusing / fo-cussing ? - stop down metering ] The light boring 135 / f 3.5 is now a lovely small 270mm , though the enormous, heavy , 85 now 170 f 1.7 mc won't see that much use , I guess .
This , together with my M 8 provides me with the opportunity to play with lenses from my 1930s Elmar through the 50s to up to the latest Leica Zoom and CV or Leitz / Zeiss lenses ... [ except that I have exhausted all my funds aquiring the twin cameras ! ]
All with handling familiar to someone raised on 1970s Minoltas !
