Wonderful thing, Leicas... there's so d___ many variants of every possible device...
Enough to keep a collector busy AND broke for a lifetime
I'm trying to round-up enough hardware to have a couple of working flashes for my Barnacks.
I have a III-f with factory sync (black dial), and a III with syc added....
I have some modern electronic flashes, plus a couple of CHICOs and CEYOOs...
I also have a variety of Leitz sync cords... mostly ones with the two-prong round pins at one end (fit the base of the CEYOO), and what at first appears to be a co-axial connector (approx 5mm in diameter) at the other end, presumably to connect to the camera.... however, it will not connect to the PC socket on the back of the III-f... what are these cords supposed to connect-up with ?
The clamp-on VACU synchronizer ?
(These are NOT the PC to Braun / Honeywell cords )
I do have just one Leitz cord that has the silver "lock-on" connector for the -f cameras, with the bi-post plug at the other end... wish I had a couple more !
Also, was there a sync cord for the CHICO that had the flat/silver lock-on connector at one end, and a co-ax plug at the other end to connect at thet flash ? The only cord I have has axial (straight-on) connectors, which makes for an uncomfortable situation at the VF/RF windows...
Thanks for your help...

Luddite, I'm not an expert but this is what I use and have used for 37 years on my IIIf. The cord is new: B&H. My IIIf doesn't have a lock on female. You should be able to find an adapter. Oh, I use 'zero' on my red dial, but I read that there is a different number for non red dials.
