Got a letter by post a few days ago where Leica Ginza announced some price increases effective 1-April-2008. No mention of the M8, but the MP is up by a little over 12% and the M7 by 19%. Not good for a strong market like Japan and with the Yen/Dollar rate hovering at 100 per, a US purchase is looking more atractive.
Lens prices are up about 14% on average (seems some not all lens prices are adjusted). The largest adjustment is the M 2.8/24 Asph at just over 20%.
I read that Tom was coming to Japan soon. Maybe he tries to get here before the price increase, or maybe just to view the cherry blossoms...
