Hello Way Out There --
I just picked this up from KEH, and it's a Leica I case with a little storage space inside the top for a FODIS (I think) rangefinder. It has a Messter Photo Optik label on the inside bottom, but my real question has to do with the monogramming on the top (D.K.M. 1931). I know that the Deutsche Kriegsmarine was often shortened to D.K.M., and was wondering if anyone out there had any thoughts as to whether this could have been issued to them? Is 1931 too early for the Kriegsmarine?
Or could it simply have been Dieter Kurt Muller or the like....?
