Hello!

Recently dug out my "Orange" Project and decided I hate the paint (my work) so I took the time to strip it and am going to leave it brass.

Reassembling the camera this morning before work I think I may be missing a piece or misplaced it in my parts bin.

I was wondering if anyone has a link or photo or the complete advance assembly and its individual parts?

I suspect I'm missing a compression washer that fits inside the film chamber between the body casing and the take up spool shaft.

Actually... I think I put it under the Infinity adjustment by mistake. Can someone help confirm this for me while I'm at work!

Shame, B-9. I was looking forward to seeing the orange Barnack and was wondering only the other day why we hadn't heard about it for ages. Orange is the new black paint, you know.
Sorry I can't help with the technical question.

The problem is I wanted to do it on the ultra cheap and opted for Krylon spray.

When buffing out the orange peel I would always make my way through to brass on the edges. Plus the whole thing got thrown on the back burner.

I decided I would like to run a few films through it (first time) and check my home CLA.

I think I just misplaced the spring washer into the wrong mechanism! Tonight I'll pull it all apart again.

I'm looking into a professional painter locally to finish it for me.

To get the paint to set up good and strong, methinks you need to bake it to get all the volatiles out of it. Might be best to strip it down to a shell, then paint and bake.

I do not really have time or a spare toaster oven to bake it.

Its back to brass currently and about 90% assembled. Found my missing piece, pretty silly but it was before work.

I do need a new set/grub screw for the advance knob. Just noticed I sheared the head off.

Orange leatherette is still waiting for the body. I think it will still look great and have the "feel" I was after with Orangie.

P.S. Update planned soon on the Orangie thread!
