Leica IIIf problems

I have Leica IIIf , it's so beautiful like gemstone.

All the speed is correct. if press shot-button IMMEDIATELY after winding the advanced-knob , it's OK! But if I turn advanced-knob and dont shot IMMEDIATELY , waiting for a moment (>10s) , it's stuck!

What the problems with my leica?

You probably just need to have it serviced. I have learned that with old mechanical cameras weird things happen as the insides get dust or whatever accumulating in it. 90% of the time a CLA fixes it. Or maybe the camera is shy. Give it too much time to think and it gets stage fright. :^)

Send it for service. It is worth it to get the camera working correctly, and it should be good to go for a long time.

He is right, I bought mine in 1963 (I don't think it was serviced from 53 to 63) and I didn't have it serviced until the mid 80s. It then went over 20 years before the shutter curtains failed.
