Can anybody advise on a suitable flashgun that would work with my IIIG via sync cord?
I have a Lotus 25 THC with both a green and red line auto settings, that are raher haphazard in their flash accuracy in spite of the subject distance being well within their curves. Ideally there would be a gun that sits a little higher than the lotus - though not as big as the venerable Vivitar 283.
Your thoughts & experience would be most welcome.
Thanks

I use both Vivitar 283's and 285's with the CTOOM flash bracket on all of my IIIf's and M3's

Much appreciate your feedback.
But I am loking for something a little less obtrusive.
Maybe there is nothing available that could still be in working order.
Other thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks

The problem here is that smaller units will have a lower flash output. If you need plenty of flash power you will pretty much have to go with a mid to larger flash such as what I mentioned.
One flash I have used in close quarters with good results is a Vivitar auto 252. It's small and can be used on cameras with or without hot shoe since it has a built-in cord.
