Leica M 50mm f/2 APO-LANTHAR ??

I see this lens is coming in the Sony E mount. Any chance/rumors/heresay that a M-mount version may appear?

I think it has superior bokeh compared to the 50 Summicron APO ASPH. It's also not that heavy at 364 grams. If there's ever a M mount version (usually 50-100 grams lighter than the E version) it'll certainly butcher the Leica, at 1/7 the price.

Not a chance. Someone who is buying the Leica lens is not trying to save a couple o bux.
No-one needs these lenses to make great images, they are luxury buys.

I'm certain it will be better than nearly any 50/2 out there, if the past APO Lanthars are any indication of what Cosina is capable of. But at 1/7th the cost of a Leica, there's got to be some compromise somewhere. The 50 APO is one of the most remarkable lenses I ever used, second place going to the Voigtländer 2,5/125.
