Leica M2 RF adjustment question

Hey folks.
I brought my M2 for rangefinder adjustment locally here. I was not impressed since I didn't see any improvement and I presume the master was adjusting it vertically because on infinity was still over shooting.
However, I read the tread and I managed to adjust horizontally myself 😀
What is bothering me now is that I see many light reflections in the viewfinder at night - something, that I don't remember before the adjustment! As an example if I frame few lampposts at night I can focus accurately but I see above and below in the finder many small reflections of the lamps. Is that normal or it is something to do with the vertical adjustment the guy did?

Well, I've had my M2 for 50 years, and I can't say I've ever seen anything like that. I don't think it's normal.

I think it has something to do with reflections within the finder- my M2's finder does that too. if I recall...

The prisms are supposed to be painted black on the outside to prevent this. It may be that the black paint has flaked off. Easy enough job for a competent repairer.
