Hey all…
I got my Leica M240 new in July 2015. For awhile it's had a few dust/dirt spots on the sensor that show up in sky area in images. Up to now I've just cloned these out w/ photoshop for my good photos.
I'd like to get the sensor clean and still have a bottle of Eclipse from Photographic Solutions, and cleaning paddles. I used it very successfully about 4 years ago on my Canon 5D sensor, but am just a tad hesitant to use it with the more expensive Leica.
Would the Eclipse solution still be OK to use after 4-5 years?
Has anyone here cleaned their M240 sensor successfully themselves without issue?
Seems like too much a hassle to send it out to be done professionally…. Should I just go for it?
Thanks in advance...
