Five years ago you once told me that you had made a rapidwinder prototype for the Leica M5. Is this true or am I just conjuring some false memory? If it did happen, where'd it go? How difficult would it be to make another one and how costly would it be?
I got a super nice M5 in May and have been totally loving it. Really great camera! I don't even feel like it's any bigger than my M2s

I didn't make that prototype - it was something conjured up by Shintaro - I supplied the parts and he did the rest. I have no idea where it is now - probably in some collection in Tokyo.
Are you back in town?

Tom,
I suppose I won't be buying that one-of-a-kind rapidwinders anytime soon. I doubt I'd ever be seeing even a photograph of one either.
I'm still in UB for now. If I ever have a plan to return you'll know a few moments after I do. ;]
My tenant's lease is up and I'm looking to find someone new for Dec 1. It hasn't been going so good so far so there's a small chance I'll have to return to get that settled.
