Hi all, i m a dummy on rangefinder camera. Can I have any of you to advise me what I should get. I wanna get a new Leica M8.2 and Leica Summarit-M 50mm f/2.5 Lens (Black)
Any good advice where i can get them cheap in Hong Kong. I m an overseas Hongkie and will return to HK on Feb 5 for this shopping.
Other than the above said items, what do you suggest me to get for a new Leica start up.

I might advise you to get a 28mm and a 50mm instead of just a 50mm. This will give you a little more flexibility and correspond to a 35mm and about 75mm on a normal film camera. These are the lenses I use most on my M8.
Don't know much about the shops in Hong Kong, but I do remember reading some posts here about the shops. Why not try the search function? I'm sure you'll find something about Hong Kong.

I am from Hong Kong, its not available new anywhere I know of it Hong Kong, you can look up www.hklfc.com, www.dchome.net, www.dcfever.com. They often have M8s crop up from time to time. The prices are quite high now for both the M8 and M8.2. I just got a spare M8 body for HK$21,000 and the M8.2 is going for HK29,500 second hand if you can find one.
