Hello peopple. I am new here and this is going to be my first post.
I recently purchased used Leica MDa with a few problems (maybe it is only one, not sure). I really want to try to fix it by myself, not giving up yet. 🙂
Anyways, as i figured it out it is winded but it can not release curtains when i push the release button. Winder is stuck as it is already winded. I followed detailed instructions how to remove top cover and body shield, when i opened it i saw that there is a lot of dust, part of a film and it was dry as sand. When i removed all of that and semi cleaned it with my painting brushes (unused) and alcohol i've realized that the mechanism is somehow out of tune and order. I've managed to release the winding mechanism to work by releasing a small cog on front side that is transmitting movement to a small rod that holds film. Also, the small washer inside and under the winding lever is rotating and working.
When i push the release rod and it starts the mechanism to release the curtains, the curtains move a bit and the feeling is like there is not enough strength to finish the action or maybe something is holding it.
Is there any chance someone can help me with it? I can send photos and videos of how it acts. It seems like it works and all the parts are there.
