If the circuit board has some corrosions and new battery exhausted in few months, either some shorts on the board or some of the capacitors are bad. it is not easy to remove the circuit boards to clean them. I corrected the issue by using CRC QD Electronic Cleaner flood clean the circuit board. Remove the top cover is fairly easy, When lift the top cover, push the batter check button to the left (battery check on position), then lift the tope cover.
