I borrowed this mystery novel from the public library based exclusively on the cover art
(btw, the book itself was good but had nothing in the plot line about Leicas)
Gene
p.s. on the spine you can see it's a 50mm Summicron

That must have been a bit disappointing. I know I would have been.

i know, it feels a bit weird to have a plam, even if it is an old one.
i'm looking forward to sitting at my favourite coffee shop and doing some writing with it.
i may have some better success than sitting at the computer and trying to write. here i usually check in to the forum and that's it for me.

Well-known
There is nothing weird with having a Palm. I regret selling mine (Palm III and later M515). My PocketPC really needs the reset button directly on the front. The Palm was much more stable. Currently I have fun with an old HP 100LX DOS handheld. That is probably weird

Hey, that's great! My old Palm IIIc and folding keyboard fit into one of the pouches of my camera bag and I haul it everywhere. I love writing in coffee shops -- it's about as close to Paris outdoor cafes as I'm likely to ever get. It draws attention though. People frequently stop by to ask me about it. They've never seen anything so small and when I show them how the keyboard folds up it's really "amazing the natives" timebackalley photo said:but you did act as inspiration for me. don't know if you have been following my exploits with my 'new' palm vx and portable keyboard but i had you in mind when i finally made the move and bought one.

Hey Gene, I guess it goes to show you "YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT COVER"
Ok there I did it. Somebody had to do it come on.

Joe, forgot to mention, there are some very good text editors available for the Palm that turn it into a very able writing machine. I use QED and the matching QEX2 converter:
