I have many old Leica lenses and some cameras too, so I am OK. I don't need any additional lenses, but once in a while I get another lens to try out.

I'm tempted to say "unbelievable" - but actually, I do believe it; not surprising at all.
I thought I'd never say it, but now a $2,500 M6 doesn't sound so bad!
Supposedly the 25% import tariffs will be dropped within a few months.
If Leica sticks with these price increases after the 25% tariff is dropped- it equates to nothing buy price gouging.

Oh No!!! Now I won't be able to afford the Leica Lenses and Cameras I wasn't going to buy anyway . . .
I'm sorry, it's just new Leica equipment has been so far out of my price range for so many years, them pushing it further out of my price range is really a non-issue.

I was shocked to find pairs of jeans selling for several hundred Dollars as I was used to Levis, Lee and Wrangler jeans that sold for $40. Leica cameras and lenses are similar to these costly jeans that sell for hundreds of Dollars. People who like them and can afford getting them actually get them.

As someone who has increasingly found huge value in secondhand gear, these price increases don't bother me too much. It's not hard to find gently used bodies and lenses on the secondhand market, especially if you're willing to wait. At the end of last year, I got a mint condition Zeiss Distagon 35 ZM by trading in two unused secondhand lenses and paying the difference in cash. I had bought those lenses about eight years ago, and the difference was only about $875 AUD. So it feels like I got a $3700 AUD lens for $875.
