I have a CL that needs a CLA, and was wondering if anybody has any recommendations as to a repairer. I’ve used Camera Clinic before, and they served me well, but are there any other recommendations?

I also have some LTM lenses and Jap gear that could use a service, if anyone has recommendations for that.

I’ve done a few searches, but haven’t had any luck with recent info.

try Jorg Heumuller at European Camera Service, Melbourne here. I've never used him, but he comes highly recommended from others who have.

Camera Clinic (VIC) - official Leica repairer.
European Camera Service (VIC) - haven't used him but comes highly recommended. Leica trained. I contacted him about working on my M2 and he had a considerable wait list at the time.
Nagami Camera Service (VIC) - also haven't used them but comes highly recommended.


Ernest Ceser at Camera Electronic in Perth used to be a good bet, but I understand he has now retired.

Camera Electronic now does only digital camera repairs since Ernest retired.
Hiroyoshi Nagami did very good work on my Nikon F, Canon F1 and Canon L-2.
Camera Clinic's work some years ago on my Nikon S2 and a Nikon lens was excellent.
I haven't tried them yet, but suspect I'll be trying ECS on a Leica IIIA in the not too far distant future.

Happily recommend Peter at Accurate Camera, near Brisbane, for your LTM and other rangefinder stuff - I don't know if he repairs the CL or not but he's fixed plenty of M and LTM equipment for me in the past.

he has worked on my M5 and i don't think the CL would phase him at all.

1+ for Accurate Instrument Repair in Petrie. The only cameras he does now are Leica.
