I just picked up a used SF-20 flash for my M6TTL and was taking some test shots with it when I noticed something peculiar. The high pitched whine while it's loading changes to a "warbling" sound once the ready indicator is lit and doesn't stop.
the unit seems to charge, but the noise is constant while the unit is turned on. I've not seen this behavior in my other flash units (none of them compatable with the M6TTL, hence the SF-20) and I'm wondering if this is normal for this unit. If not I'd like to return the unit for a refund and start over.
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Bob

Well I don't use mine much but I can tell you that it doesn't warble when I do use it.

To warble or not to warble...
To warble or not to warble...
Thanks for the quick response Peter. It sounds like a return journey is in order.
It would seem that it suffering from a leaky capacitor disorder or the like...not something I'm prepared to deal with.
Thanks again.
