I recently picked up a very, very used Leica Standard (circa 1935) that is in need of (among other things...) a new set of curtains. The curtains that are in it appear to be someone's previous best effort and I'd rather put in new than try to fix bad. I need to know the dimensions of the finished curtains and their associated silk tapes as well as some hints for establishing correct orientation of the long curtain on its roller and tapes of the short curtain on their rollers. I found the general procedure for making shutter curtains on Aki-Asahi's website to be inspiring and went ahead and ordered his curtain cloth (silk-rubber) and tapes. I've also got Tomosy's Leica repair book on order to aide in getting everything back together and to help with the minutia.
