Just another ramble ...
Interfering with my twin Fed 1g black Leicas to match my twin black Leica II s alongside the original Fed 1g , I realised that I prefer the copies because , to my Asdee mind it is as if the Leica is the prime object - my Russian Replicas are merely a means csot effectively of extending the '' Leica Experience ''
This is not so with a similar fescination with Kiev , which have no Leica associations , to the point that i am bewildered about where the Kiev Konviction komes from !
Controversially , i fully intend to increase my family of Leica Likes , content that I am helping give little rejects a new beginning - my form of recycling ! ... this in preference to the REAL THING !
You never know - horror of horrors - given time , with good Russian cameras drying up - a repainted and re-engraved camera may the only cameras available .
Though that may encourage more Fed and Zorki repaints , rather than the Leica tributes .
