Lens cap for Nikkor 50/1.4 LTM

Dear all,

I've sadly lost the "Nicca" cap I had on my Nikkor 50/1.4 LTM.

It was slightly too loose.
I believe it was 43mm.

I've seen recently seen some 42mm "Nippon Kogaku" caps on ebay.

Do you what are they made for? Will they suit a 50mm/f1.4 LTM?

I will go out on a limb & guess that the 42mm lens caps are for the 5cm/2 Nikkor-H, which had a filter thread of 40.5mm (like the Zeiss 50/1.5 & 50/2 Sonnars).

In regards to the 50mm/f1.4 LTM, the 42mm caps do not fit. I've tried . The size that you is 46mm.

I do have 2 spare metal NKT caps and 1 plastic NKT cap. Pm me if you want one.

Check Grays of Westminster, in London. They stock a huge selection of new and vintage Nikon stuff. I found a lenscap there for my 1956 ltm 28mm W-Nikkor C.
